The Junior Vision Song Contest 3 was the third edition of Vision Song Contes, and took place, for the first time, in Ukraine, after Sofia Tarasova's victory in the second edition with the song "Letet Vysoko", receiving a total of 99 points. The Ukrainian national broadcaster AU:PBC was the host broadcaster of the event. The final took place on 3 February 2017 in the Arena Lviv, in Lviv. Verka Serducka, an Ukrainian comedian and pop and dance singer, hosted the show.
A total of 21 countries participated, with Croatia, Bulgaria, Ghana, Belgium, Thailand, Slovakia and Lithuania making their debuts. The winner of the contest was Marlisa Punzalan, who represented Australia with the song "Stand By You". Belgium and Sweden finished in second and third place, respectively. This was Italy's first victory in any Vision competition.

Design[]
On 2 February 2017 the logo and slogan were confirmed, which was made by the Kazakh delegation. The slogan was "Child Of The Moon".
Location[]
After the Ukrainian victory, AU:PBC confirmed to host the third edition in Ukraine. Later, the broadcaster announced that Lviv would host be the host city and Arena Lviv would be the host venue. The venue had a capacity of nearly 35.000 people inside the building.
Host[]
Verka Serducka was on 2 February 2017 confirmed as the host of the contest. She is known as a comedian and pop and dance singer. She represented Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, finishing second, respectively.
Participating countries[]
On 2 December 2016, it was confirmed that 21 countries would participate in the third edition. Débutante countries included, Croatia, Bulgaria, Ghana, Belgium, Thailand, Slovakia and Lithuania, Serbia and Sweden returned to the contest after a one-edition break.
